YOUR VOICE AND SOURCE FOR MINISTRY CONFERENCING, SUPPORT, ENCOURAGEMENT, AND INFORMATION.

Organized in 1968, the NFAM&LP has committed to providing intentional, informed, and guided support for all Local Pastors and Associate Members on the Annual Conference, and Jurisdictional Conference levels both nationally and internationally; in mutual covenant, in related educational experiences, and in support of our ministries. The ongoing Mission of the Fellowship is as follows:

To propose resolutions to the General Conference pertaining to the ministries of churches served by Fellowship members.

To aid the establishment and definition on the General Conference level, the role, authority, rights, and participation of Associate Members and Local Pastors in the ministries of The United Methodist Church at all levels.  To encourage Fellowship representatives to attend and participate in the activities of General Conference where permitted by the Book of Discipline.

To conduct an annual, nationwide, meeting to address Fellowship business; provide continuing educational opportunities; and share in worship and fellowship with pastors from all Annual Conferences. Meeting locations are intentionally moved throughout the United States to offer attendance opportunities to as many persons as possible.

To provide specific, focused, continuing educational programs of interest to and in support of the ministries of Local Pastors and Associate Members. To communicate current information on issues of interest to the members of the Fellowship.

To work for and cooperate with efforts of the United Methodist Rural Fellowship as an organization which represents the interests of the kinds of churches frequently served by Fellowship members.

To support the call, education, ministries, and rights of Associate Members and Local Pastors.

To implement the provisions of the ¶323 of the 2008 Book of Discipline of The United Methodist Church.

To function as an affiliate of the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry of The United Methodist Church, Division of Ordained Ministry.

It is our intent and vision for the Fellowship that all Associate Members and Local Pastors will have full participation in the mission and ministry of The United Methodist Church. With God's help...all things are possible.
